So 2012 has started really rough... well actually that isn't true. It started on a really high note. I don't think we could have been more excited. January passed and February rolled around. The rockyness began. The first bad news we were able to roll off the shoulder, because well there were greater days ahead and we knew it. Then we got a big hit. The highlight of our year was suddenly gone faster than it had appeared. I don't think I can explain how devastated we felt, but I know there are many others who understand or have felt that same sadness. Anyway, we are trying to keep on keeping on. Focusing on each other, work and school. I will admit that I have had many days of feeling depressed and like all I want to do is roll in a ball and cry and get hugged by my hubby bubby or my momma. Those days are tough, but luckily they are getting fewer and further between. Although I do think that as the year goes by those depressed days, or the sadness will be a little bit more "exaggerated" because I will remember what I wont have and what I had looked forward to. Anyway, after that change in our year "plan" we decided that it was time to buy a house since we would most likely be in LA for a few more years. So, we have been looking. We have put offers in on two houses and for some reason, in both cases the offers have not been accepted... well the first one it was low but the listing agent didn't let anyone know that the offers had been rejected and so by the time we put in a new higher offer, an new offer had already been accepted. The second house, they wanted mainly cash only offers because it looked like it needed more work than the first one (although I think they needed the same amount of work, but the second house had a lot more land). Anyway, we put an offer above asking price and apparently someone put in an all cash offer at about the same price as we offered. POOP ! We really liked both of these houses and both didn't pan out... I think I need to go egg houses or TP them some night hahaha.. jk. Anyway, while I am sure the right house will appear, we really feel like we haven't had much luck in this whole process.
So yea, as you can see this year has been pretty rocky. I think the whole house thing wouldn't seem so bad if the year hadn't been tarnished by February's yuckyness. I really hope the yuckyness of life doesn't spill over into dental school cuz I would really like to graduate with my class. I also hope that we get some good news in the realm of big life changes. We could use some. If we don't, I really hope the Mayan's were wrong because who wants to end on a low note. I guess it really wouldn't be ending it on a low note since we are still a family and we have our health and our love. Life may seem poopy, but we still have so many blessings like shelter, clothing, food, tommy has a job, i have patients at school, and we still have each other, our puppies and our family. All of these difficulties would be a trillion times harder without our momma's. Anyway, sorry for the depressing blog. Sometimes that happens. I just have to remember that everything happens for a reason, we may not know that reason now, or even in this life time, but there is a reason why. I also need to remember to count my blessings. Thanks for reading my rambling... if anyone reads these. Peace out.
